A Weekend to Remember
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
ICPF Canada organized a one-day retreat, titled Reconnect 2024 , with the theme “Reconnect with God, His people and His Mission.” We had an astounding turn-up of over 600 individuals, which in turn reflected Reconnect as a major event organized after a rather long time of dormancy in ICPF ministries in Canada.
We are happy to report that we received overwhelming support from congregations and Christian organizations all over Canada. The post-event feedback we received confirmed to our joy that Reconnect was indeed a spiritual blessing for the attendees. The check-in registration counters were open by 9 am so that we could begin with an opening prayer at 10 am. There were a total of three sections spread across morning, afternoon, and evening.
The first section commenced with prayer by Pr. Niclas Idestrom and the powerful praise and worship led by Rev. Dr. Sunny Prasad and Pr. Dilip Kurian. We had Pr. Jacob Mathew bringing the Word to the congregation.
Post lunch break, the second session resumed with our MC sharing his life testimony that reflected the sovereignty and transformative power of God. Following a short time of worship directing the crowd to the message of the Cross, Rev. Dr. Sunny Prasad preached strongly to the young people, on committing their youth and time to the cause of Christ.
Following all this, we had a very interesting and impactful Q/A session, which opened up the opportunity for the young crowd to pose challenging questions on various relevant topics to the panelists. The panel group consisted of Sis. Shalini, Pr. Jacob Mathew and Rev. Dr. Sunny Prasad.
The third session began with another anointed worship session. Following this, Pr. Jacob Mathew spoke strongly into the lives gathered there, completing the message that was brought in the first session. All this led to a poignant altar call, which led to many young people surrendering and recommitting themselves to God.
We did send out feedback forms, and herewith we attach the statistics of the responses we received:
• First time ICPF Camp/Retreat attendees: 53.5%
• Surrendered to Jesus for the first time: 26
• Made a decision towards the extension of the Kingdom of God: 9.6%
• Blessed by attending this Camp / Retreat: 100%
• Received the Holy Spirit for the first time: 1.4%
• Interested to start a Prayer Group in your University/College/School: 34
This is just a little bit of the amazing feedback we received. We are grateful to God for guiding us through this retreat. We also are thankful to ICPF Head office for their support and help in this endeavor. May we all be continually used in the vineyard of our Lord.
Thanks,
Jeslin James
Secretary
